Send your own correspondents to large events

The reporting for Dew Tour Day 1 was absolutely abysmal. There were so many inaccuracies in the article it was enough to make me cringe. Here are a few examples:

Maude Raymond threw down a solid run to earn the top qualifying spot by throwing down back to back railslides into a railslide disaster grab, followed by a left 360, left double cork 540, and finishing with a huge left 360 japan grab. The top seven competitors from today's qualifier advance to Saturday's Semi-Finals for a chance to compete against the best in Sunday's Finals.

In the end, it was Joss Christensen who finished first, with a score of 80.25. His run started off strong with a switch left 900 mute, to switch right 720 japan, to left 900 tailgrab, to right 720 tailgrab, and capped things off with a 720 japan to alley-oop 360 japan.

Those tricks are impossible to link in a pipe. It would have to be a left 9 to a switch 7 to a switch 9. Then a 7 to a switch 3 alley-oop.

This is a top 5 biggest event in the freeskiing world! Not having your own correspondent there to write an article is lazy.

Or overbudget.

Would people in general like more of an ability to write their own articles for the site? How many of you out there feel like you were born a journalist but stuck in a regular member's body?

Maybe you could have regional interns that are able to post articles. Most people (like me) are unable to write articles worthy of publishing, however I'm sure there are a few journalism majors that would like to make some connections in the industry while at the same time receiving college credit.

These are the exact types of people we want to join the Journalist Network!

We're starting that exact concept... grooming and finding people who are passionate about journalism and skiing.

If you're one of these types of people.... request an invite here - https://www.newschoolers.com/ns/cult/home/id/1408/t/NS+Journalist+Network/

Hey guys,

Sorry for the errors in the article, and I hate to use it as an excuse on both my and Alli Sports' behalf, but please understand that everyone is having a really tough time right now following the news of Sarah's passing, and is a bit out of it as a result. I noticed the errors shortly after the article went up, spoke to Alli Sports about it, and have made the necessary corrections.

Thanks for your understanding.

drop in switch, throw a switch 9 first hit. that will land you going switch, and you follow that with a switch 7. that will land you going forward, and you can follow that buy a left 9.
