what is so bad about selling out? if i was a musician id sell out, they are the ones with the millions of dollars

well the only people complaining about bands being sellouts are usually emo kids, and what being an emo kid is all about is finding the next unknown band that nobody knows about, emo kids dont care about the music, they just wanna go around saying they listen to a random band that nobody's ever heard of to try and sound like and individual, so when a band sells out then everyone knows them and it isnt 'cool' to listen to them or say you like them anymore, and on to the next new band that no one knows about

Selling out sucks when it comes to music like punk. Because, normally when a punk band sells out, they go all soft and their lyrics and sound become manufactured. The music loses its originality.
