There are a lot of great threads and videos out there explaining it better than we will using text. Try searching those out and good luck!

throw it 100 times on a tramp then find a decent size jump thats kicky and send it. really not that hard

Forget the fear. visualize how it's going to work and then go and do it. If you just talk yourself into doing it and accepting the pain of failing you're going to fail. Biggest piece of advice is, find a decent sized booter with some tang, and float it, don't just throw it back as hard as possible on a small jump.

Giga Chad is right.

You got this shit ? just make sure to film it

The main difference between into pow and on a park jump is that the jump likely won't have as much kick (assuming the pow jump was on you built. They typically are small and quicker) and you will need to land more forward/square. If you land a little backseat in pow you can pull it off but if you do it on a park jump with any real airtime you're likely going to over rotate and land on your face.

The advice to do 100 of them on a trampoline is very good. You'll want to be comfortable going upside down and being able to fully spot the landing when you're upside down. This way you can control the landing better (slow down or speed up the second half of the flip).

Best of luck to you. After a few you'll have it no trouble.

As a freeride skier, backies on park jumps are terrifying, defs try to float it cause park jumps give you so much more air time then your usual natural kicker, just spot the landing and lay er out. If you try to set it hard you're gonna have a fun time hot tubbing hardpack...

Coming from a level 200 aerial coach, set with your chest, not your head. You should be able to see your feet until they're above your head. Personally, I prefer an arm swing takeoff, rather than an arm set, where you go into the jump with your arms already pointing straight up. Also, the longer you keep your knees straight, the better. If you've seen vids of people hitting their heads on the jump, it's mostly caused by bending the knees on takeoff. They should basically be locked out until the skis have completely left the jump.

Damn I miss that show.

Maybe try it on a hip first, that might help get the block out of your head for landing on groomers. Then you can send it to the $$$booter.

I think I misght just Bump some 21 and go for it

Idk if its just me but my backies on tramps arent the best id rather do them on skis for some reason. On a tramp I always jump too far back and almost fly off but when im on skis I rarely mess one up

Best advice I can give you guys making posts about backflips :

stop obsessing over this fantasy

No doubt,

just go and find a windlip and send one, only to realize you built something up to be not nearly as big as it is.
