Seeing a girl who lives far away

Long story short this girl who lives a few hours away from me admitted she has feelings for me. I really like her but I recognize this likely won’t turn into a relationship. Basically she wants me to come visit her for a few days at her apartment and see where things go.

The problem: my parents would fucking kill me. I really wanna pull this off but I gotta be careful. She’s like begging me to come though

I’m 18, i still live with my parents so idk it’s just hard to pick up and leave. I’ve never done a trip that far away on my own so they’d probably be suspicious.

But ya we were going to try to do like a weekend. I might say I’m going to a bike park which is kinda close by, that might work.

Yeah honestly, i’ve been wanting to get out more anyways, I gotta stop worrying about the consequences. I’m looking forward to college since shit like this’ll be so much easier

You're 18, you're going to hang with a girl. You aren't breaking into cars or doing heroin. Sounds like a good opportunity both for the girl and also getting out more.

As far as people saying to tell the parents you're going camping, maybe do that but also get sone camping in this summer. Drive around, see cool places, do fun shit.

Don't stress too much, have some fun this summer.

Used to be in a situation similar to this.

Was w a girl the summer between junior and senior year. I was 17, she was 18 and going to college about 5hrs away from me at the end of the summer. At the time I didn't have my own car and had to borrow one of my parent's. The night before she moved out I told her I would only be able to visit her monthly at best, and basically friend zoned her in the nicest way possible. We kept in touch for about 2 weeks after she left, then I realized I was the one starting all the conversations, and I stopped trying to contact her. I have not heard from her since and that's ok.

OP make up an excuse to leave house for a day or two.

Tell her how it is. If she tries to make you feel guilty about not visiting her enough; leave.

If you want to take this seriously you will have to tell your parents at some point.

My dude lives 15 hours away until I can move there, isn’t the worst to make it work.

I honestly can't see why they would be upset. Sure, it might be weird to tell them that you're going to chill with a girl for a couple of days and all but if you're funding the trip yourself I can see 0 reason why anyone would get weird about this. My parents were always super down for me getting out of town for a few days when I was your age, regardless of the situation.

Also, try not to lie to your rents. If you're going on a bike trip, go biking. If you're going to chill with a friend who happens to be a girl, go chill with that girl. Getting caught up in lies isn't cool.
 
Like this guy said. I did 10 time zones. 4 hours is nothing. You’ll never know if you don’t take that shot. You’ll see when you get older that this is so within reason that it’s silly to even worry about your parents in regards to this.

i make stupid threads at 2 in the morning, but i mean i got nothing better to do i'm gonna try at least and see how it goes
