Seb Toots @ Winter X Games

Hey guys and girls - I just wanted to share a little project I was working on throughout X games. I shadowed Seb around for Winter X 2012 with O'Neill and documented his life throughout the week - I haven't done something like this before and just wanted to share some of the pictures

I know it's not skiing, but it gives a bit of insight into the experience of X games!

i think the second one is a really good example of how to isolate a subject with a shallow depth of field, but without removing them from the environment. The focus is clearly seb, but we can clearly see that he is at xgames. A lot of people could learn from you on how to control the dof

I just realized you do. I was referring to the one where he is looking to the side with three lights and a groomer behind him, but there are a couple other ones that demonstrate what I was talking about as well

All of these are fantastic Jordan! They are more powerful as a set, rather than simply two select shots from the events - I think you captured the weekend as a whole very well.

On a completely different note, I love the layout of your site. It is well organized, but incredibly clean looking as well.

A damn good x-games for you, those pictures are really sick. I totally agree about the d.o.f and how you do it really well. What equipment did you bring with you?

it was quite a lot of fun!

My main gear was two Nikon D3's and a 70-200mm f/2.8 & a 14-24mm f/2.8

I used a 35 f/2 and a 50 f/1.4, but not nearly as much!

awesome pictures. not really a fan of the tilted ones, but everything else is top notch. favourite riding shot is the wallride one, good stuff for sure.
