Beginning of the season was a few days here and there of just all around mountain jibbing at Lake Louise.
Headed to Kicking Horse for the official opening weekend. pretty sweet, early season conditions destroyed my bases (torn out edge, smashed edges).
Went home for break, skied 5 days of amazing powder at Kicking Horse. Some of the best tree skiing I've had in awhile. New terrain was alright, they only opened it so people would pack it down. Knee deep snow here and there, skied with my old friends/crew.
Came back to Calgary Res yesterday, went up and bought a seasons pass (my only one this year, no Kicking Horse pass

). Skied park all day for the first time. That is, first time hitting only park, first time skiing COP since I was 9 in my racing days. Overall good impression. Didn't hit the big jumps since I'm not comfortable. Did a lot better on more advance boxes than I thought. Hit and accomplished a wall ride for the first time ever. Need to buy park skis now. Not really the funnest to try and spin big park jumps when all you have is 189 Surface One Lifes.
It's snowing now, and sure enough, the night I leave Golden, Kicking Horse gets about 22cms of fresh. Storm just hit Alberta tonight, rest day tomorrow, then heading to Sunshine Village on Thursday (haven't skied there in 8 years) with a lady friend for some pow pow skiing.
