Season in breck, need some help.

So me and a few buddies (all swedish) are planning a trip to the states this winter, 2 months in breck and 1 month driving around in cali but i got some questions which i think u guys might be able to help me out with.

How is getting a decent cabin/apartment for 2 months easiet (mid feb to mid apr). Any local newspaper u can put an add in or smt? Whats usually the price for a decent accomondation with decent location in breck? Dont rly feel like getting ripped off.

Also what is the best way to cruise around in cali for a month? Rental car and stay at hostels/bed and breakfasts or just rent a campervan and sleep at the beaches/parkinglot somewhere in the suburbs?The month in cali will be mostly bear mtn/mt hood but we will ofc check out L.A, sanfransisco etc. Hows parking, is it rly expensive and hard to find or what do u think? Whats the best way to rent a car/campervan in breck/colorado and then leave it somewhere near L.A cuz we will probably fly home from there.

check with tiger run resort, really cheap and only a 10 min busride to breck. you'll have to take a taxi back after partying in town though, it's the only negative thing
 
my post will be no use wotsoever to u but i just wanna say im sure ul have an awesome time in breck. went last year nd even tho the snow wasnt great by their standard, i had an awesome 2 weeks there, and saw a few pros in Park lane there :-) ohhh what might be of use... have u bought ur epic ski pass yet, get it early and ul save loads! :-)
 
yup, we bought the summit pass. But we are kinda going big on this trip so i dont care to spend some extra cash to live inside breck city. We plan on spending about 10k $ on 3 months in USA, so i dont rly care about paying a few extra bucks to live in the city, rather then having to take busses/taxis whenever u wanna do something.

Any local newspaper we can put an add in?
 
http://www.summitdaily.com/ Thats the news for summit county, which breck is in so i'm sure you could put something in there. Also, that sounds like an awesome trip. ALSO, try the regionals forums for Colorado and make a thread asking about it. I'm sure people will help out.
 
I'd look for a place on Craigslist. You can find month to month stuff on there fairly easy. you also might be able to find a room or 2 in a house to sublet for that time. and finding something in town shouldn't be to terribly hard. there are condos errywhere

For renting an RV you should look for a company called Cruise America. You can rent RV's in most metro areas, Denver is the closest to summit, and drive them wherever and for as long as you please.

Come by Slope Style if you need ski stuff! We're the dopest store in town!
 
Get a cheaper place in Frisco and take a shuttle/bus to Breck if you're on a budget. Just an idea.
 
The local paper is the summit daily. Good luck renting a place for 2 months late in the season, I'm guessing most seasonal rentals will not be available anymore. If you rent an RV, just live out of the free parking lot, in the past they've allowed over night parking.
