Season edits what do you prefer?

I notice with some riders they release mid seasons or spring edits with some fire tricks then they drop their season edit but have a handful less of bangers but it looks like they're having a great time. Where as other folks you wont see an edit from them all year then they drop an edit showing each trick larger than the last.

To me I personally like seeing a mix of the two where they're having fun not tryin to be a super g and serious about it all yet still are stacking progression shots.

Do you prefer an edit where they're all over the place with tricks with a ton of hype or do you prefer a clean methodical edit where they planned out to show the progression of their season.

I really like how some skiers do monthly/every couple weeks edits and those are fun and all over the place but personally I like a season edit to be smooth and showing the stacked shots with maybe a little bit of fun

I'd way rather see an edit profiling the skiers personality. Hype tricks are obviously impressive, but I think it's far more appealing to watch how much fun is being had on, and off the mountain.

I couldn't give two shits about how much fun you had, unless it's actually entertaining.

If someones having fun its typically actually entertaining.

Unpopular opinion rolling through.

I couldn't give less of a shit how good of a skier you are. I don't care what your best trick is or any of that. I don't watch edits to see how good you are. When I watch edits, the ones that stand out to me are the ones that make me hyped to go out and ski. And for me personally that means shenanigans and good vibes.

So yeah an edit that is just a collection of your hardest tricks isn't gonna appeal to me at all, though some others will love that. Honestly make the kind of video you want to see more of. Not everyone is gonna like it and if you try to change your style of video to match what will please everyone then that's lame. Just do you.

Just be original. Don't watch any edits for a month or two and gather your own ideas of how you want your edit to look like. I find when people try to copy an editing style more often than not it turns out shit. Yeah rap music is cool, but are you putting in rap music for yourself or because you don't want to get downvotes from a bunch of white kids. Just be yourself dude and you'll produce the best edit you can. No one likes watching the same edit over and over again with different riders.

make edits throughout the year, then make a season edit at the end, even if it doesn't have any new tricks in it

I did that last year and didn't progress as much as I would of liked. This year I am just saving all my Broll and sloppyness to post through the summer keep the hype up haha
