Search doesn't work anymore

Search has never really worked ;) its completely fucked.

If you need to search for something, go to google and type in "site:newschoolers.com" and then follow that with your keywords, works really well.
 
Before the last major change. I remember the search bar having a drop down menu so you could pick your specific area in the site as well as typing in your keyword. I.e forum, harlaut

The result would bring up every time harlaut was mentioned in a forum title and the date it was posted.

Now theres just a keyword search without the drop down and the result page may show you one or two results with that name attached but after that it's random. Even if you pick videos or forum down along the line you may get two other results that fit but that's it.

The search is more accurate now, and you can get the same filtering by selecting a specific section.

However - the biggest catch is its limited to results within the last year. That is a major current flaw.

What specifically were you trying to search for?
 
I've been cruising the site after a LONNNNNNNGGGG hiatus and was trying to find things from my golden years, circa 2002-2005. I was looking for old trailers as well as old videos. It would be nice if the search bar would go beyond one year. I remember when "the search bar is broken", but back then it did a good job of bringing relevant searches back as long as you had the keyword in the title of the thread.

Can we stop playing games and just go back to Newschoolers theme of 2005?

Make me happy?
