Sea to Sky Ride/Carpool Thread

How about we save some money and gas, while at the same time giving fellow skibums a ride up and helping the environment minimally? Sounds good?

So why don't we start some kind of carpooling thing from whatever location you are at, to Whistler, or even the local mountains if needed.

Post if you have room to spare, need a ride, etc...

If you're getting a ride, obviously be courteous and bring gas money + donuts or beer.

I need a ride saturday, and so do two friends at UBC. I'm willing to go wherever you're leaving from, let me know
 
probably gonna be a lot more helpful here once i get my car up here after winter break, but until then there MIGHT be a spot or two in a car heading up friday. i'll post again if i can confirm
 
I would really like a ride up this weekend (the 17th) on friday or saturday, and a ride back on saturday or sunday. That would be really nice. I'm at UBC.

I will compensate with money. 
 
I'm heading to van tomorrow, gotta pickup some crap for the sled in squampton and other stuff in van, will be heading back up that evening, and heading back down to van monday. Nadia@ 604-966-8276 4 seats available at the moment..

Ill be heading up to Whistler on Friday probably leaving Burnaby around 3 ish, maybe stopping in Squamish to sell my mtb. than heading up to Whis, got 4 seats available. Give me, Bryan, a call @604-966-1184. Coming back Sunday night too.

Oh, and on the subject of getting royally fucked, all areas passes, (competetors cards) are being lopped in with staff for "Not allowed to go skiing opening weekend, save it for the tourists"

Im going up today. I have one seat available. If you can make it to the Burrard Sky Train Station by 3:20, then you have a lift. Look for a Green Honda Element. I will be picking up someone else there-- a single girl, for all you single men. I will be leaving as fast as I arrive.

Just some info for UBC students, the greyhound will be running from campus again starting this weekend, you can buy round trips at travel cuts for $27...so a lot more money than sharing rides.

I'm probably going up thursday, will let you know if there's room in my friend's car, and I'll probably head up this weekend as well and will have to figure something out.
 
yeah that bus is expensive. if it comes down to it though, i'll just have to suck it up.

I don't have classes on thursdays. it would be great if you let me know if i could get a ride. i'll try to check ns, but a text/phone call would get to me right away... 604 619 2332.

for the weekend, i'm fine with bussing up there on saturday, but i'd really prefer to get a ride back that day because i have something planned for the early evening, and the bus doesn't get back to ubc in time for it.
 
well my friend just called me isn't driving thursday anymore, so that's not gonna work, I need a ride up there too now... I'll let you know if I hear of anyone driving up madtrix
 
any one heading up tomorrow (wednesday)? missed the pow day but from what I hear their is plenty of untracked goodness left.
 
might be able to hook you up. I think we have a few cars going up and one or two spots always seem to pop up. i'll have it figured out by friday

i gotta hand in an essay in the city on monday....so i am looking for botha ride to the city and back from the shitty. preferable both on monday.
