oh im not looking, the thread starter is.
i know volkl is consitently making the best skis out there in the context of technology and durability, not to mention they preform like the rolex of skis.
but id take a first year ARV over any of them. black, white, pink. does that make me an ass? maybe, but at least i admit it. im superficial. i hardly get out skiing. i just moved to central indiana, the temperature is good for shorts, and the only kids in my school who know about freesking heard about it from me. (well there are like a few that kinda know). why would i go for a black and pink arv? well same reason i have a crocheted hat in the colors of the jamacian flag, i care about my image way to much. i feel most comfortable skiing when i feel that i look good. why do you buy nice shoes, wear nice clothes? positive self image. im not saying it makes me a good skiier at all. im saying it makes skiing more fun for me. if you dont agree, thats totally cool. its all about freedom and having fun. so whatever works. trash talk is lame, but if people on this site do it and walk away feeling like a million bucks, why should i let anything get to me, im still fine.
i wasnt really typing all that in reference to your post Deprarriear5. but moreso because i just wanted to get say it.
