Anyone have longterm exposure with this boot? It has been around for a while, even predating Scott's purchase of Garmont several years back. It seems that there have been a few issues but that each year things are tweaked and resolved.

Any feedback would be much appreciated!

Maybe I should have added that all the publications which reviewed this boot lived it but that will of course need to be taken with a grain of salt.

The ski terribly. The cuff pivots backwards a good amount when they are in ski mode and there is just no support there. They made me feel like an incompetent skier and I ended up getting rid of them after a few weeks. They are light, comfortable and walk well though.

Know the boot well. The first boot should have been recalled but they just offered to fix. The boot would randomly come out of ski mode and you would have no lock. The second gen was just as bad. If you over flexed the boot in ski mode it would pop out. Only fix was a stronger spring that was shipped on the second batch of boots. The third gen was a good hiking boot. Lightweight. I wouldn't call it a stiff boot but a decent descender for an light AT boot. One of the wider AT boots on the market at a 102 last.

Very helpful!

I think I've moved on to the Scarpa Maestrale RS. Not as much ROM but apparently much stiffer for the resort days too.
