I don't know how true this is... it's possible though on some level. Whenever we think of something, the neural network connecting to it is primed - meaning that our brain more or less prepares itself to think about everything connected to what we're thinking about. We clearly relate a ton of shit to sex so maybe, since the neural network of sex is so huge, part of it gets primed every 16 seconds, so we're kinda thinking about it even if it's not a conscious effort....
