Schweitzer's Park

i thought Schweitzer had a pretty legit park, but apparently not cuz all these threads say the park crew are a bunch lazy pot headed fucks.. If Any of you have skied in WA how does the park at schweitzer compare to the ones at Steven's or the Summit at Snoqualmie????

I haven't been to summit or stevens in a couple years, but when i went there summits park was really fun. the only downer was that it was pouring rain for the two days i skied there. This year schweitzers park isn't much because there isn't enough snow to build, and i know it snowed record amounts. but the snow that fell was very low in water levels, making the snow really light and fluffy, but horrible for building parks. I will also admitt that our park crew do tend to slack. Schweitzer has a lot of natural jibs that are keeping all of busy now. THere are several hidden log slides that can be very enjoyable. Its up to you. give our park about another 2 weeks and it should be up and running.

ya ill be at Schweitzer mid February with some friends for a week so hopefully the park will be lookin good thanks for the info
i know im not local but it would be cool if you could tell me where these logs are and some other natural features

So the park is really fun right now. there is one step over jump with two other mounds, just waiting on some lips. there are rail features and a little jump to keep the gapers off the big jump. kids were throwing down today in the sunshine. dan and cole have done a great job grooming and building considering the lack of snow. The park crew also seems like they are out and talking to people more than they did last year.

it varies, but this kid i have been riding with has been throwing switch rodeo 7s, switch 9s (with multiple grabs), and another kid has misty 7s, regular rodeo 7s and 9s. then everything inbetween. during the week it is mainly snowboarders and a couple skiers, Then on the weekends the spokane crew comes up and they are mostly skiers. today in the park there were probably 50-75 kids in the park and the ratio of skiers to snowboarders was about 50:50. however there were only like 2 females. lame

Im coming out next weekend and was just trying to see what you guys think you will have set up for the coming weekend. From the pics it only looks like theres a few things due to the light snowpack. Also during the weekend is it always backed up at the top of jumops? Thanks alot man!!

ok. i have never been to schweitzer before but i can tell you what summit has.
as of this season during christmas break i went to summit and they had 8 jibs: 1 sewer pipe, 1 propane tank, 1 single barrel, 1 double barrel, 1 flat box to another flat, 1 party box, 1 down box, and the other i dont remember. thier jumps suck right now, but they are setting the lips and landings for the 2 kickers they put up.
stevens last year had a dope as fuck park. i went there once this season and they already had rails, boxes, and probably some of the big kickers they got like the waterfall jump.
i dont know about the pipe at either place, but summit's is not going to be open for a while is my guess.

I talked to the park manager today and he was saying that he is pushing the second and third jumps on wednesday night. the mounds are already built, but they are going to build the lips. so by thursday they should be open tto the public. THey are pushing the snow from the condos below the park. haha

i will be there tomorrow and the next day, i will be wearing a saga jacket and some green pants, say whats up if you see me ha, and i would also like to know the size of the jumps.

the first one is a step over that is 30 feet (really fun), then the next one will most likely be 40-45foot table, then the last one will be a 45-50 foot step down. I'll find out what the jumps will be when the lips are built.

the summit is my home mountain and their park is pretty legit right now i know they have WAY more boxes and rails than stevens so hit up snoqualmie next time you in WA
