What’s going on you guys,
thanks for bothering to give a shit for at least a second. Perhaps I can
persuade to you click the link below, ooh la la.
Please read the story if
you're sitting on the toilet and enjoying a little bit of light reading, or
avoiding doing your finals, I know I am... I'd just like to say that being from
Seattle, we get a lot of, for lack of a better word, dumb little girls (20-24)
year old in college that get annoyingly over-inspired from a Starbucks
headquarters tour or something to that nature and decide that they want to go
to work for Starbucks when they're done. I've met too many of them keep track of
with all the Lincoln Logs and Legos I own. I mean come on... and I digress.
Regardless of that fact, I've found myself in the precarious position – a position
quite the opposite. It turns out this chick knows an absolute ton about Starbucks,
which allowed me to filter through all her biased information stored in the
Siren-esc glow that is ever-present around her and grab some stuff worth noting in an ad.
You might be asking yourself why would I even
have to do this in the first place or why you’re wanting to kill yourself for
even reading this far and still having gotten nowhere. Personal, I have very
little love for this chick, but her drive is there, so I was motivated to bust
my ass on this project – oh and my TA was so strict this quarter, so this is to
spite her.
Creative input and ideas
would be sick to hear from you guys. You guys out there do some talented shit every
day. I’d like your creative opinions on it and what you think about it. I already have more ideas that I want to add in for my own satisfaction since the due date has past. But what do you
think could be incorporated within the minute-long timeframe of the project. And
personally, fuck, thanks for even reading. I’m going to get back to my beer, 16
hours in a lab which doesn’t even include probably 20 additional hours of concept
planning.
Time duration for path grouping, layering, and labeling and what not as
well as AfterEffects cs5.5 and rendering took 15 hours… and I came out with
this. I think I got pretty high mark on this, Cheers all. I really hope you
guys approve of this quality of work and effort.
The message isn’t something I
assumed everyone will agree with, so if possible try to refrain from bashing me
for wasting my time with Starbucks. Yes, Starbucks, you know… that corporate
machine that sold our Sonics down a river of shit. The same Starbucks that has
shitty burnt Arabica coffee regardless of what blend you buy… yes, that Starbucks.
But we won’t take it there in this ad, not this time J that one is for another day, my friend, another
day.
Keep in mind I’m a junior in college at UW and haven’t really had any
formal training in this area so let me know any constructive criticism but if
possible, try not to pummel me. Thanks again all. Bless - fam.
