School might get canceled

so i overheard one of my teachers talking in the teachers lounge, he was saying that oregon schools might have the last day of this school year the friday before spring break......... i looked it up and there is some talk about the year getting cut short due to lack of funding but it didnt say what that day would be.

if it did happen we wouldn't have to make the time up next year and the grades that we have at the time of the cancellation would be our final grades, unless they schedule finals earlier than the early cut off date
 
I heard about that to. most oregon school's already have cut 2 months off of school or made 4 day weeks 3 day weekends. Portland public schools will either do 1-3 months off of school or 4 day weeks. i would like 3 months off please
 
Having that break would be fun, but then you wouldn't get full credits for the second semester because you wouldn't have actually taken the full class. This will be fine for in state colleges but out of state colleges will not accept half credits or credits that the high school just says are excused because they can get students from other states with the full amount of credits making it extremely hard for oregon students to get into these schools. So, the break would be fun and i would get in a shit ton of summer skiing but for those trying to go to college out of state it would really suck. Also, my pops is a teacher and this will mean less working time for him which means less money.
