Scared about the future

So basically I'm on track to fail all of my final exams in the coming week. It's pretty much granted that I won't be going to college/uni, so my plan is to go to the mountain guide school in Chile to become a ski guide. However I'm scared about costs/application rejection/can't find a job afterwards etc etc. So I've applied for a job on the railways as a back up but I don't really want to stay in the UK cause it's miserable and I feel like a disappointment and I just need advice tbh

pls help NS

With hard work most anything can be accomplished. In the US at least you really need higher education if you want to get anywhere. However if u really want to go and become a mountain guide then by all means go do so. However it is important to think past the present and into the future 20-30 years. Where do you want to be at that point in your life? Economically, bucking up and passing your finals would be the smart choice.

Work harder or work smarter.

Military is always an option.

Not sure about the UK but I'd stay clear of this option for a while.

OP, college isn't for everyone. Live for today and get the ball rolling in the direction that you want it too.

learn the right trade and you'll earn more and have a better quality of life than most of your friends that went to college.

Study, if that doesn't work get a trade of some sort.

Some people just aren't wired for school, and if you want to be a ski guide, be one. Just don't become one because you feel you are incapable of doing something else.

Why the fuck is this downvoted. I can't think of one reason to NOT join the military.

Not wanting to kill people/get shot at?

I know there are non-combat military positions, but it just seems like going in enlisted straight out of high school isn't the best call for a lot of people. But if that's what you want to do, then by all means go for it.

Do whatever you want. If you want to go to another country to live and go to school you're going to encounter some struggles and some feelings of" idk what the fuck I'm doing".

If it's something you feel very strongly about, find out as mush as you can, plan as much as you feel you need to and then take a stab. Maybe it'll fail but be open to other things. Maybe it doesn't work out but you find another opportunity. Maybe you don't end up with any work but have an awesome adventure.

With some stuff you just gotta take a stab and hope for the best.

Also it's completely normal to feel fear regarding the future. To feel like you don't know what the fuck you're doing. Just do your best to make good choices that reflect what you want out of life, and make the most out of your time spinning round this floating rock in space.

I think it means different things in different places. For example, in Canada if you join the military you can basically complete a degree or training for a trade and get paid for it.

Join military

Travel

Get a degree or trade

Get paid

?????

Profit

Make the decisions you want to make. Decisions create opportunities and give you experience, plan as much as you need and enjoy the small things in life. If you fuck up, then you fucked up.

Remember, you’re living on a celestial object that circles around a star in an almost infinite universe that may be a small piece of something bigger.

The pacifists on this site probably down voted you.

The military is a great option but really only if you become an officer imo.
