Scalpers suck

I agree. Pisses me the fuck off. Specially when they raise them double or more.

Why do you hate scalpers? They have tickets and when you need them they will sell them to you. You usually can talk them down from their original asking price if you're not stupid. Just try to walk away and say you're gonna go to another guy to see his price. They usually will drop the price.

Another way to get them to lower is just say you dont have that much money on you, A guy said $50 once. I told him I only had $27 dollars on me. He said okay ill do $35. I said, no I only have $27 dollars. Ended up getting it for $27. But I really only had $27.

Bought 10 tickets to countrfest last year for about $100 with no intention of going

Sold each ranging from $200-300

Economics 101 bitch

the shows wouldn't be sold out if there weren't scalpers so you'd be able to get your ticket in the first place

Or the concert would be sold out by people who are going and you missed the chance to get one of those tickets. Now your SOL and cant go because nobodys standing outside the venue selling tickets.

yeah though scalpers suck, its business

i mean dont you hate it that subway buys a bunch of super cheap shitty ass sandwich ingredients then sells you them for a lot more!

i don't hate it when subway makes a sandwich for me and sells it to me for retail, i hate it when some hustler buys all of subway's sandwiches then stands outside the store and sells it to me for twice as much!

subway does not buy all of the sandwich ingredients available then jack the price up and resell them. Scalpers create an artificially inflated market

I understand why people do it, ive sold extra tickets when people back out, im just not a fan of people buying tickets with no intention of going to an event. it makes it impossible normal fans to afford tickets.

Free market capitalism - it's supply and demand, the basic fabric of our economic system. This happens in literally every other aspect of your life but it doesn't come with the term 'scalpers'

Laissez faire son

The pretty lamps and bassproshopnectars crowds are notorious for buying from scalpers at 200-300%.

damn gas scalpers buying all the gas and jacking up the price...

jk but for real join the fan club/street team of whatever performer you're really trying to see and you'll usually get first grabs at the best tickets.

I'm with you man. Guys telling me I need to pay $200 to see Swedish House Mafia. And fkn paying $55 for the home opener Jays game when it says $16 right on the fucking ticket. And cops do nothing, it's right in front of them too

scalpers have bots that raid the ticket website the second they go on sale. They clean them right out and its near impossible to get tickets to high demand shows from the original seller. then they raise the price by a lot. its bullshit

but its still happening, so i guess thats not working. Ive been beat out by scalpers within 2 minutes of the show going on sale, recently. And it was from a significant website. What im saying is that scalpers are bullshit and shouldnt be allowed to do it in the first place. I dont want to have to adapt to this when it is clearly unfair.

the problem is that the producers are still getting paid, possibly even moreso because every now and then a scalper will mistakenly stock up on a show that wouldnt have sold out. they have no motivation to step in

What kind of shows do you go to?

I don't think I've ever really had a problem finding tickets to a show the day the tickets go on sale, even the week following for that matter..

these are all the stupidly big shows in Toronto im talking about. recent problems ive had were for RHCP and Black Keys at The Air Canada Centre.

i dont know why i even bother with them, theyre never as much fun as the smaller concerts and theres rarely a problem finding tickets for those.

That makes complete sense to me. The last time I had trouble finding tickets it was to RCHP too. It's been a minute since I've been to a show of that size so I guess that problem hasn't been as apparent to me recently. I see where you're coming from though.

Being one myself I am with you 100% I truly loathe other scalpers.

Theres about 3/4 faggots who have pairs of seats in the same aisles as me to the Celtics and always have that shit up on stubhub (I only have 10 seasons so the 8 cheap ones I have are near other scalpers with no intention of going.)

And I do a lot of college football tickets so when I want to sell 200-400 tickets to a football game I always have to dump about 50 in the parking lot since I can't move that many on CL/SH and I hate the motherfucking crackheads who show up to the parking lot with "I need tickets" signs looking for fans to sell them tickets for cheap and taking no risk buying from the team like I do. The people who sell outside the venue are fucking annoying, I wouldn't mind if they just showed up with the tickets they wanted to sell but the way they show up with nothing and just hound everyone who walks by to sell them extras is embarrassing and makes me not like telling people what I do.

Fuck scalpers.

The prior advise is accurate though if you want tickets to something buy them the minute they go on sale or don't bitch.
