Mike's excitement for life was infectious and his love for snow was undeniable. He had an adventurous spirit that lead him all over the world; and from Mammoth to Tahoe to Jackson to Japan, he spent every day that i knew him making the turns that most of us simply talk about. His last instagram post offers a window into the experience that I think everyone had at least once in their time skiing with Mike- (staring at his back as he skied into the distance.)

I'm sure he lived his life making the most fun out of it that he could and I bet he pow wherever he is now is very deep!!!

 
Seems like a well known guy, even that snowbrains website changed their posting to say that they found out the victim was a good friend of theirs. Really sad stuff, SIP.
 
Losing a loved one is never easy, especially around the holidays. I hope his family and friends are staying strong and staying together. My condolences go out to anyone who knew this man, the skiing community lost another great human, stay strong and stay safe everyone.
