SAT related question

Do colleges get to look at all of your SAT grades?Like,say i took the SATs in my sophmore and junior year and i got an 1180 in my sophmore year and a 1260 in my junior year.Will both be looked at?and if both are looked at,are they goes to go by the sophmore year?and is it a smart idea to take SATs in your sophmore year?

 
no, they only see the ones you send them. if you sent them the bad ones, youre shit outta luck. you can send colleges as many sets of scores as you want, too.

no, I would not suggest taking them your sophmore year. it would be pointless. but, then again, I believe the whole test is bullshit, it is all to profit money and maybe a little bit counts for colleges. I didn't even bother with the psat's and I'm not going to bother with taking them a second time either...

 
^Well youre suggestion certainly wasnt taken into consideration,seeing as how you dont care about youre future.If you can choose youre scores to send,why not take any oppurtunity to better your life?I'm going for it and so what if i dont do well,it tells me i need to work harder in order to get into the college i want to go to.

 
just because I hate the sat system doesn't mean I don't have a future. It just means there are other ways to go about getting into colleges. ie, getting good grades, other stuff besides standerized testing. everyone gets so worked up about sat's and really, it won't make a world of difference, I'm sure I will still get into a good school even without taking the test a billion times in attempt to improve my scores.

 
Actually,the SAT is VERY important according to princetonreview SAT-4/10,GPA-4/10,Personal-2/10

so dont think youre going to get into a good college with a 1000 on your SATs

 
i heard something about taking the best of your different sections? like if u do better on math first time but do better on writing seconmd time, you can combine them together. is this true

why don't you try CONTACTING the college you are applying to/thinking of applying to and asking them what their policy is about SATs. some colleges don't give a shit about them and others weigh them very heavily.

but they can only look at the ones you choose to send them. how they look at them depends on the college.

 
no matter how many times u take the SAT they will always take your highest grade...even if u took it 100 times..

 
really? i thought they averaged it on your thrid time...but if you can take them as many times as you want i think i might take them again
