I teach SAT prep classes. They work, and if you're just mindlessly doing SAT problems, you're instructor is a dipshit. You've got to learn how they make the test, then you can understand how to identify wrong answers.

bro i wish you were my teacher. what she has us doing is the WORST!! seriously. in the barons SAT book on like pg 245 we had to right down all the prefixes and suffixes on note cards..and tomarrow we have a test on them! like idk about you but i dont think i need to know that. i want to know sat test taking stradegies and learn some shit. not buisy work

for english, the teacher gives us handouts that are scans out of the book we paid $20 for, and he makes us do them, then tells us the answer
for math, he has us do the questions in the book, and then goes over how to do it. then he tells us what ranking the question is (easy, medium, hard), and says we should skip it if its hard.

All my ap and sat study books say to skip the hard ones you don't know and come back to them if you have time. You shouldn't spend 10 minutes on a hard question and then not even get a chance to look at the easy ones that might be last.
I'm taking the sat in like a month but I don't ever feel like using my study guide for it though. I would rather look through my chem study guide even though I'm not taking chem right now just because I think its fun.

Unless you're getting 90% of those "easy" or "medium" questions right, dont even do the last third of the math sections (the hard problems). The test is more about accuracy (since wrong answers can KILL your score) than attempts. Also, unless you're scoring at least a 700, you should be leaving problems blank. Its weird, and hard, but doing that forces you to go back and retry the problems that you can get with a little more time rather than getting stumped or tricked on truly nasty problems. I really wish I could help you guys more, but yeah, you'd need to be in my class.

SAT classes suck nuts. maybe itd be better in Rowens class, but my class is really boring. I already took them, but my parents want me to improve my score even though my sats are good enough for most of the colleges im looking at. I only really need help on the writing section cause thats my worst.

ahhh i know what you mean.. i got them every tuesday and thursday.. they are so boring and i feel like i kearn nothing.. its like two hours of hell but my parents are making me take them so whatevs
