I am looking into going to South America Snow Sessions this summer. Just looking for anything like advice or if you have been what it was like. Basically making sure it is good before I spend a couple thousand dollars.

I haven't been, but have you checked out evolve chile?
Evolve chile is pretty awesome and is well worth the money if you ask me. I'm glad i've gone the past two summers.
Tons of pow, new culture and all around good people.

I most definately do not recommend going, their are threads all over the place, and these are some things i remember, and don't know if this is 100% true

1. They didn't end up paying the hotel everything they owed and are not welcome back in that town again

2. When it switched management the company went down the tubes

3.They don't pay the employees the rightful wages

4.They are in immense debt

5. They will come on here, call me out, and tell you how much fun you would have going to their camp.

6. Last year i signed up for a raffle to win a Sass backpack at my local hill (which i won) and they harrassed me and took advantage of my age, and numerously emailed and called after i told them i cannot go and stop contacting me and kept telling me to let them talk to my parents they can convince them to let me go yadda yadda yadda, when i can't even afford to go to a 1,000 dollar camp.

Avoid SASS please, go the safer route with a more respected camp like Evolve, or you don't even need to do one of the 2, im sure you could go on a trip by yourself for less mloney.

i signed up for a online thing for free shwag from them and ended up getting 36,000 emails and numerous phone calls, dont give them your info

seriously dont do it. it is soooo fucking bootleg. Evolve chile is a much better operation. but you know whats even better? doing it yourself. its cheaper, a much better cultural experience, and your plans are not set in stone so you can chase the snow.

just check out the hostels in the mountain towns etc.

The only thing about Evolve chile that sucks is the surfing...maybe its because i get scared when water is in my face and i cant breath...but other that that its a solid operation

Its all about the experience and the adventure. I don' t know what you mean by bootleg but you know how businesses work right? 80% go under after the first 5 years and half of that 20% fail the following year. SASS is not dead,
I will not lie, SASS is honestly is an experience of a lifetime, true it is cheaper if you go down and do it yourself but the friends you will make and things you will ski will change your world. It makes me sad when all people think about is money. It's a lot more work than you can imagine trying to do what SASS has done. Now they have a spot up on the mountain its going to be a dream come true. I can't wait!
