Myself leaning towards the more conservative/libertarian side of politics, find Sarah Palin to be one of the most cancerous things that has ever happened to the Republican party and conservatism as a whole. That being said, if you read about the book that is coming out with all of these accusations in it, there is not a whole lot of factual evidence to confirm these stories, aside from the whole Glen Rice ordeal (he confirmed it, but still a matter of he said/she said).

In the end, it is nothing more than bad journalism at this point until these accusations can be substantiated. But, if it helps to push Sarah Palin into an abyss of irrelevance, I am all for it.

It would be simply amazing if this stuff were true, and I honestly would not be surprised if some or all of it were. I was just pointing out that if somebody wants to make accusations of this magnitude, they better have more proof than just hearsay.

On another note, this is the exact reason why I would never vote for one of the type of right-wing religious wackjobs. They all try to come off as morally superior and they all end up being the most morally deprived people on the planet. The minute they stop preaching (and legislating) about premarital sex, abortion, gay marriage, the drug war and Christian superiority is they day I can support them.

I agree 100%. The moment the republican party/conservative movement began to bow to the whims of the religious right/moral majority, I jumped ship entirely.

I truly don't understand how those types of conservatives reconcile their calls for "small government" with their demands for legislation intended to control people's personal lives.
