It feels like someone in the family died. This sport knits us together in a community unlike any other. Your pain is our pain, their pain is our pain, everyone's pain is everyone else's.

I wasn't in tune with the freestyle skiing community when Shane and CR passed away, so this is the first time something like this has happened and I have felt the full scope of the grieving of the skiing community.

Between all the immaturity on this site, true compassion and emotion can be seen. You showed that. +k for your beautiful words.
 
fuck man im in school i cant be sitting here being this sad, but jesus will she be missed. along with all the other legends. they formed this sport for us and created the kind caring loving and passionate culture we ski with. they all will be forever in our minds. RIP. SIP.
 
today was my first ski of the season. it was dedicated to her. it felt good being surrounded by people who shared the same view.
 
Skied in her honor yesterday! Had one of the sickest turn of the season while thinking about her.. She's keeping us stoked guys. Shred on for her!
 
Sarah was an inspiration. She pushed women skiing's limits and pushed her own. She took risks and tried new things, that's what made her great.

SIP Sarah. You're still in inspiration to all.
