Sand dune skiing

So me and some friends want to ski at great sand dunes park this summer. we've never tried before so to all who have been, are there any restrictions inside the park? does it feel like normal skiing? is it worth the 6 hour drive?

There arent any restrictions that dont allow you to do it. When you go put the stuff you use to clean and polish woood furniture on the bottom of your skis. It'll help.

its so fun man. great place to get away for a couple days. i chilled there for about a week last year, wont regret it.

I heard crisco on the bottom of your skis works pretty well too.
