Hi, i'd like to know if Salomon will still honnor the warranty if i buy a pair a brand new skis from a private individual(non-shop).

Do i still need to go thru an authorisez reseller if i have trouble with it or i can send it directly to them?

Thanx

Merci.

If you have the original purchase recipt (from the store), and the skis are less than a year old, it's worth a shot. If they are mounted with Salomon bindings it extends the warrenty to 2 years. If there are more than one set of mounting holes, you might not be so lucky.

I bought a pair of 01/02 1080 mogules at the end of last season from someone, and after 4 weeks of skiing on them found that it was delaming in 3 places. A friend of mine was incharge of warrenty work in a shop and she tried to get them warrentied for me..... Salomon wouldn't touch them unless I had the original purchase recipt.

So it's worth a try, but I wouldn't get your hopes up.

I had 1080's last year and Salomon was super bad in handeling the situation it blew major anus they lost my skis, and when they found them like a month and half later, they never warrentied them and i had some major delamination that was never accepted!
