Hey Ns,

So I'm getting some line sir Francis bacons as an addition to my quiver, mostly east coast park rat but I also enjoy the rare east coast pow day and lapping the groomers/ all mountain riding. Trying to weigh my binding options and I'm down to the salomon warden or salomon sth and I can't figure out what I want. Anyone got opinions on either?

Assuming you are looking at the 13-DIN option of each? Both options ski really well, both use the same heel piece, the main difference is the toe piece.

The toe of the Warden allows you to use alpine boots, touring boots, or boots with WTR soles. The toe of the STH allows you to use either alpine boots or WTR soles- not regular touring boots.

It would just depend on if you need a binding that accepts the touring norm. If yes, go Warden. If not, go STH.

And I really have the choice of either 13 or 16 don option, I usually run a din around a 12 so I will probably get the 16 din option in the sth if I get it

Yeah I just use a tradtiional alpine boot, so the sth has the better toe piece for me?

No, the opposite is more true: if you have a touring boot then the Warden is better for you. If you are only using a traditional alpine boot, then they are pretty much the same. If you are running a DIN under 13, go with whichever one you like the look of more and if you want to run a DIN higher than 13, go STH2 16.
