Salomon Suspects

I got a pair of 181 salomon suspects with the salomon STH14 bindings from proctor jones (amazing site) for christmas and I am in love with these skis. They perform very well on flats, they are very versitile. I can do snappy short swing turns and hard gs-style wide radius turns with ease. They handle pretty well in the powder and all-mountain. In the park they are very stable on landings and give you some nice pop on takeoffs. I found them a little stiff to butter at first, but after I got used to the flex I can pop 180s and 360s pretty easily off the ground. When skiing switch it feels nice to be able to ride out your edge on a switch turn. They are also INDESTRUCTIBLE. I was at Jay Peak last weekend cruising through trees (no fresh powder but there were still a few untouched locations). On more than one occasion I felt a rock or tree route hit my base and edges with significant force and there is minimal damage! only a few streaks on the base, and the edges are fine!

I've skied salomon twins almost exclusively for many years now, I've ridden the 1080 spaceframes, the CR pros, the SPKs and loved each of them individually. The Suspects do not disappoint either, I would recommend them to anyone looking for a versatile park ski that can hold its own anywhere on the mountain.

9/10

I'm not a rail rat so I cannot comment on the edge durability from sliding rails, but I slammed some rocks, roots, and tree stumps really hard (sometimes right under foot) and my bases look fine! (I'm also 220 LBS)

I have 181 suspect too and I love them, the ski just shreds everything in it's sight.

I saw the 2010 ones and they are super slick looking... a bit less crazy graphics but still super fresh.

I like that they go crazy on graphics ones year and more down tempo the following... thay way the crazy bright stuff doesn't get played out...

I also saw the 2010 Armada stuff and although the graphics are nice they just all look the same.

At the end of the day, graphics are graphics so who cares...

wow ghostfacekillah, never thought i would say this, but i agree with you!

hahaha football aside, i think were on the same page with suspects. i also ride 181's, and mine have held up unbelievably so far this year. ive only heard bad things about sollys this year, but mine sure arent bad one bit. i love my suspects. i only ride park by the way, lots of rails
