Salomon Suspect Edge Armor?

Does the edge armor help to protect from rails damage at all?

How do the suspects hold up on rails and such?

Any input helps

If your post is serious..

No Salomon edge armor sucks.. and in the past few years Salomon Suspects have had serious durability issues.
 
If this was a serious question, yes it works well. I have the 2012 suspect and the edges are hlding up really well. I detuned well underfoot and slightly on the rest of teh edge and I do not even have an edge crack yet. I had some 2012's last year without the edge aromour and the edges faired well but not as well as the suspects this season. They are even doing better then my Thalls I had last year.

So overall yes it works well, and the edges this year are really strong.
 
Salomon Suspects are the perfect ski if you don't mind them exploding the first week. My guess is the guy who posted above me skis like a pussy or he weighs nothing
 
^ im 5'11 170lbs been skiingfor 24 years, and I have really been trying to break the skis just to see what all these kids are talking about.

The skis hold up as well as any other park ski I have used (armada, k2, line, dynastar). All this talk of them being terrible is so out of date now its funny.

Just try a pair you will see.

nope they still suck. i work in a shop and cant tell you how many pairs of suspects ive seen with edges falling out is like 3/4 pairs. fuck suspects. fuck salomon.
 
Worst "innovation" ever. Edges started pulling out after like 3 days. My edge and sidewall cracked on my Dumonts after 10 days, sidewall blew out and split the topsheet from the core, water got in, core rotted, and the ski snapped in half.
 
Honestly Im amazed this is still the case for people out there. We all know the older suspects had issues but we dont see many issues at all with the new ones. We see pretty much 1 snapped pair a year in our shop, which is on par for any brand. Edge wise I dont know, maybe kids need to learn to be smoother on rails, but from my experience the edge armour works well, and the edges are equall to armadas in durability.
 
this is my 2nd season on my suspects and they have held up a lot better than people say. i like my suspects more than my old line anthems. sure edge cracks happen on every ski but my edges are still in despite the cracks.
 
Well I have the 11 suspects... and the TOPSHEETS are complete trash. They break like a child's toy, but the edges are incredibly good. I am on my 2nd season on them and I'll admit the topsheets are really bad, but there are very few nicks in the edges, and definitely no cracks. Edges are good, topsheets are awful.
 
Durability is not the only reason I wouldn`t buy suspects they`re also kind of outdated they are the old salomon 1080s without the foam core
 
11 suspects are still holding up but they mildly thrashed after a season of mainly hitting rails since there were little to no jumps near me
