Salomon Strive

I don't think they are replacing the STH yet, but they are replacing the warden. I could be wrong about that though. I have ridden the the strive and it feels like a more substantial and solid shift binding.

It will ultimately replace both the STH and the warden. Although the STH 16 remains for a final year this upcoming season. It makes sense in regards to streamlining their more performance freeride binding lineup, rather than having both STH and Warden. I rode it all last season and while it lacked some of the dampening I loved about the STH, it still skis hard very well and with a lower weight/lower stack height. I still think I'll hoard a few extra pairs of STH's personally, but not mad the strive is replacing it.

So its sorta like a hybrid between the shift and a sth? the weight and stack height of the shift and the power of the sth

It's significantly heavier than the shift and has no uphill capability, different class of binding. It's pretty comparable in weight to the Attack series. Basically it's just an evolution of the STH and they tried to keep the weight down so it can also replace the Warden. The STH is pretty heavy compared to comparable models.
