ive been looking into a pair of the spk pros, tried a pair felt good, but ive heard alot of negative things about them, people tell me the good and bad about these please.

Do you they really pack out alot?

I have a pair on layaway and i have a ridiculously wide foot and these fit me like a glove, best fit ever.
I was between a 27.5 and a 28.5 He put me in the 28.5 cuz my foot is soo massively wide and now im worried that they might pack out too much. He said the 27.5 would be a super snug fit and was worried putting me in that size, also my feet are super sensitive and i have never had a boot that didnt make my feet kill.
Sorry about the thread jack but it is still talking about the spk's.
So am i going to have a problem with them packing out too much?

^ Check your shell fit. If thats alright your fine. Personally, when i'm in doubt I go down a size.

SPK's are an ok boot for park if it fits your foot. The thing is, in reality it fits hardly anyone since its so wide. It is also really upright to aid switch skiing, but at the expense of forwards skiing. The lace up liner is great though. IMO there are much better boots out there which would also fit, but be better for actual skiing. Talk to a boot fitter, they can do much more for you than anyone on the internet.

My advice: Don't look for a boot. Look for a good boot fitter and let them find you a boot. It's their job.Experienced fitters are dam good at what they do.

it is heat moldable, u can do it a few times, but yeah they pack out alot, like said above, when in doubt i also go a size down. Personally if i were u i would try them both on again, what did u measure to exactly? I measure to a 28, and i went with a 27.5, and they packed out too much for me, toe jam like a mother fucker. If ur foot really is that wide, u might wanna check out a tecnica HVL boot, high volume fit, and they are super wide. I know the toe box in spk's are a 104mm, im not sure about the last tho, maybe its a 102? someone correct me if i am wrong. The agent 90 from tecnica is a 102 last, so its a wide boot also, better line personally, actually has a cork footboard with a shock absorbtion bottom to it. I have the first year spk's, and they dont even have a foot board in them, so shitty. The agent 90 is also a 4 buckle boot, and might fit ur foot better, just see if u can try it on.

I got mine last decemebr, and since prob have about 60-70 days of skiing on them. They have packed out a bit, but not to the point where i can't compensate by tightening the buckles. I had nordica spark's before, and I had hhhuugggeee shin and toe bang problems, and the spk's got rid of the toe bang and really reduced my shin bang. They're such sick boots for freeskiing, I highly recommend them,

If this was referenced to me then i dont remember what exactly i measured to.

I have the tecnica vento 95 flex and 102mm last and performance wise they suck. Way to soft and didnt hold my heel down at all. When i tried the spks on i was strapped in there good. Heel was in there solid and my foot wasnt moving, I heard the Spks were a 106mm last. But i also injured my foot recently so it will probably be tighter on the foot throughout the season.

did u have the v95 HVL? im not totally sure but i think it only came in the HVL, which means its super wide, im not sure on the lst, but i cant imagine the SPK being a 106, the HVL may have been to wide for u in certain areas of ur foot

No its not the HVL version. The hvl is 106 and mine is 102 it came in two versions.

To me the spk felt wider but tighter all around my foot and ankle. So like very wide and comfortable, but held my foot solid in place so it wasnt moving.

The spk felt wider than my tecnica

i bought last years spk pros this summer and they fit my feet perfect so far i have only skied in them three times but they are the best feeling boot i have ever put my foot in. i love the lace liner and what sold me on these over the kaos was the extra padding! defiantly get them

i really think the spk is a 102mm last, i know for a fact the toe box is a 104, so if that sthe case, the last was the same on both of ur boots, but in other areas of the boot the SPK fit YOUR foot better. Good for u, finding a boot that actually fits right, I am having a terrible time with this, i have spk's, cant stand them, but i am soo bowlegged, and i pronate(sp?) alot also, i work in a shop, and ive worked on my spks like crazy to make the fit perfect, but nothing is helping too much. Ive tried on a few boots, the nordica ace of spades boot, tecnica dragon 110, phoenix 90 (prtty much the same boots as the agent series) so looks like its time to get new boots for me

Ya thats what im hoping is that these are the fit for me. This is my third boot in a season, I had two boots last year and this for the beginning of this season. My foor hurt once in a while in my tecnica vento 28.5, i had agent 100 before that in a 27.5 and i couldnt even be in them for more than 15 minutes. I actually measure more for a 27 27.5 boot but they always put me up one because my foot is so massively fat. haha

Good luck finding a boot that fits you right, i was so happy when i tried on the pros cuz i could just tell that the fit was amazing for my foot.

Just putting this fact out there SPKs dont do half sizes, all of the boots are like 26,26.5 i dont know why but its no big deal.

wait what are u talking about? they do do half sizes, granted its just the liner, the shell size is the same

Been quite interested in these, since people say they are SO wide.

I normally wear a size 12 4E width shoe. I've been rocking Tecnica Vento2's because they were a boot I found that fits nicely, but only after I have the shell punched out in the 6th toe area....as even with the HVL (high volume liner), they still are not wide enough for my foot. Mayhaps I will check out some of the stiffer SPKs this season....my tecnicas arent exactly the most comfy for park days, but kill it on the mtn.
