Hi guys. I'm thinking of buying the SPKs but frankly I don't want to spend 350 $ so I think of ordering the 2012 model. My idea is to try the 2013 in order to decide which size do I need, and then order them online 'cuz it's a lot cheaper. But my local boot fitter doesn't have the 2012 model, so my question is are the sizes the same? If I was going to buy for example 27 of the 2013, does that mean that it should be the same for the 2012?

don't be dick and waste a boot fitter's time. if he takes the time to help you out, don't screw him over by buying the boots somewhere else. when you get older and have a job you will understand this concept.
buy online for cheaper, sure go ahead. but you get what you pay for and most often you will get cheap or free custom boot work done if you buy from a shop. it's well worth it.

go to your boot fitter and tell him you want the 2012, model, and ask him if it would be alright if he fit you in the 2013 so you could buy the best size of the boot you want. they will probably charge a small fee for that, and if they dont just give him a big ol' tip. then when you get your 2012s you should take them back to that shop for custom inserts / liners, if you choose to do that.
i dont think most boot fitters would be offended if you used their service to buy a boot somewhere else if youre looking for a boot they dont carry. just be super nice and explain to them that youre not trying to screw them out of money but just want the 2012s and in the appropriate size.
