Salomon Rocker2 100 for park?

Has anyone used these as their primary park ski? I'm considering it for next year but I'm worried about the durability, mainly edges. They don't use the same edges they have on the NFX, they're thinning. And I'm wondering about the base as well.

Any info would help.

Thanks in advance

They are a great. A lot like the kartels in the way they ski just lighter. Most of the salomon team who are not comp guys ride the rocker 100 most of the time and unless they are competing quite a few guys ride it as there main ski

I have a friend who uses them in the park. He loves them. Lars tynes and jonah Williams use them in the park sometimes.

The thing that concerns me though is how long will the edges last if I'm sliding on a lot of rails.

The Salomon team gets multiple pair (I'm assuming) where it wouldn't matter to them as much

Ithink you would be surprised how few most riders get. Jarred martin is on salomon and he got one pair of skis (rocker 100) last season and they held out all season for him.

Just as long as any other ski?

Skis have different dimensions and processes on how they build their edges. The edges on the NFX are not the same as the edges on the Rocker2 100

They still hold up well from what I have seEn. You will probably get edge cracks but you will on any ski. My NFx skis held up really well

In my experience if you're going hard on rails you're gonna get edge cracks regardless of how thick they are. Maybe that's just me

If you are looking to hit a lot of rails it is important to round out the edges of the ski with a file. The unfortunate side affect is that you won't have shit for edge grip. Regardless they won't last as long as the ON3P Kartel 98.

If it is a dedicated park ski why so wide?

It's only 2mm wider the Kartels. And ON3Ps are just wayyyy out of my price range (I get good deals on Salomon)

It's not necessarily a dedicated park ski. I ski all mountain a bit. I just need to park sure park performance is there as it's very important to me. And I'm a huge fan of 5 demential skis.

did you end up picking up these skis? where did you mount them? just bought a pair and need to figure that out, going to be my mostly park with a bit of all mountain ski
