Salomon Quest series for hiking

Hiking is a huge interest of mine and I want to begin to combine it with skiing when I can. So 95% of my riding will be East Coast shredding 50%all mtn and 50% park..Groomers, ice, powder when possible, trees, etc..I don't do anything huge so the boots don't need to take extreme impact. I'm 5'11 175lbs..Would the Salomon Quest 80's be a good boot for everyday riding combined with occasional mountain climbs? I ski in NY and VT trips so possibilities are endless in my future endeavors. Is the walk mode suitable on the Salomon boots? I like the price of 300-400 too so that is a huge plus..I'll take suggestions too. Thanks in advance!

If touring refers to putting the skis on my back and hiking up a trail to ski down..thanks for any tips. Complete novice in the subject

I would suggest looking at the quest max 100. That should be a great all round boot for you. They will be great for resort riding, park and backcountry. They also feature the full custom shell so will be easy to fit. The quest 80 is te old style shell which is not as strong and I would advise against using it in the park as the back bone may not be strong enough.

Just get something that fits and has the right flex. You don't need a walk mode to tour or hike.
