Salomon Oasis at Vail this weekend

Hey, just thought I'd pass along the info on a sweet event. This weekend you can demo skis and outerwear from Salomon and Bonfire at Vail. If you haven't checked out Pocket Rockets, you're missing out. Plus they have a halpipe jam on Saturday at 11:00 and they're giving out a ton of schwag at the end. Grand prize is a free pair of skis of your choice. If you're in the area, check this event out.

 
I'm sure that nobody is missing out on the pocket-rocket. Foam cores are sick! Is the pipe jam going to be as big as the rail jam was for the opening a few weeks ago? Salomon completely missed the point of freeskiing, and they should just stay out of it.

Solomon and Vail both suk. Solomon skis are super light but because of their foam core they have no pop. They're like skiing on wet noodles. Their Ti bindings suck too. I broke the titanium plate casing on a landing. The only way they cater to freeskiers is by changing the graphix of their skis and not their construction. That's why Candide, Simon Dumont, JF Cusson, JP Auclair, and a bunch of other pro riders all left. As for Vail, Vail sux cuz they still don't have their pipe up yet and most of the locals there are stuck-up snobs. So if you're not a freeskier and don't care about freeskiing, go to Vail and ride Solomons.
