Salomon ghost or full tilt dropkick

Moving on from a pair of spks - best options so far are the 80 or 90 ghosts and the dropkicks... any suggestions?
 
Fit wise they will be fairly close so as long a the mid/narrow last and volume is working for you then really your choice is 3 piece vs Overlap.

3 piece will give a more consistent forward flex. It will feel forgiving and smooth but will lack power to ski hard out of the park.

The he ghost will feel more like a standard boot. The forward flex still feels good but not quite as nice in the park (my personal opinion) but will ski much better out of the park.

They are both pretty soft boots so ensure they will offer the surport you need, both can be stiffened though.

Hit the nail right on the head.

Also, you are going from a wide boot to a more narrow boot. So if your SPK's fit you well, your feet won't fit too well in your 2 choices. I recommend seeing a boot fitter to properly examine your boot and give you the best fitting boot.
 
Been to a bootfitter and those are the two best options according to them. Grown out of my spk pros and foot has changed a bit. Out of the two which do you prefer?

Both great. The ghost is slightly more supportive and would be my choice for skiing out of the park. The full tilt has an awesome flex and you can always get stiffer tongues but this will not increase the lateral stiffness. 3 piece boots can take your legs a little longer to adapt to as you generally sit further forward so it can be harder on the legs. Have a stand in both for a while and see how you like the forward lean and flex. Make sure to try them with some footbeds too.
 
I'm in some SPKs now but as I can recall from my last boot upgrade the dropkicks were too narrow for me. The Goast is a solid boot though and the buckle system in my opinion is hard to beat.
