Salomon Ghost boot?

I was just wondering if this would be a good boot. I ski a little park but mostly steeps and pow. I know it is stiff but I have been skiing in a 140 flex race boot the past 2 years so this should not be a problem. I'm 145 lbs by the way. And if not what other boots would you recomend. I have a wide foot just to let you know.

narrow lasted. boot looks dope tho, fairly comfy liner, lots of shock-absorption, but its build off the falcon last. if u have a wide foot, u may want to look elsewhere.

either way, go see a good bootfitter!

I only know a couple of people who have skied them, both people loved them. I am stoked on them and am thinking about getting them next year. Thats all I have to say.

Boot is amazing. Obviously try it on before you buy it. It says it is a 120 flex, but with that fat tounge, it feels great on the shins. I jumped up to that from a 95 flex index Pro Model Salomon boot and I couldn't be happier. I felt the SPK a bit too park specific with the flat heel, but this one is money for skiing everything. My fellow in-house Full-Tilt skiers will give me shit, but the Ghost Boot is sick.

I have it on very good authority that it's not working out for the team guys. They want a 140 flex and the 2 buckle isn't holding them in enough.

will the ghost be ok for racing?

i race about 50% of the time so i'm looking for a boot that is stiff enough for racing, but won't rape my feet with shin bang in the park, and this seems perfect.

Refering to the post above mine, i would say no, not good for racing. That is just from the info i quoted.

i use tecnica race 110's for that. they have a low flex index on them but they are surprisingly stiff, i used to use 130's but i decided to go down so i could use these boots for everything and i don't feel that huge a difference, i only weigh 160 lbs but i ski aggressively. i don't like super stiff boots for racing and these are perfect for the freeriding i do which is mainly steeps, pow and cliffs, they have a nice absorption in the tongue but they're stiff enough to control fat, long skis at high speeds. a little stiff for park but if you're used to stiff boots they're fine. so i use them for exactly what you do and they hold up great, my favorite all around boot. and no shin bang for me on these and the feet are nice and cushioned but if you have problems booster straps work like a charm, i'm considering maybe getting a pair although the powerstraps on the 110's are pretty beefy

o and i forgot to add, mrstskier i have a crazily wide foot with a bone sticking out on the side from my hockey skates and the 110's were skiable right out of the box i just had to mold them and grind out a few spots in the heel and ankle, they're good for wide feet

Yeah, if they cranked the flex index up about 15 points, I would like them even more.

However, I will probably give them a try, assuming they fit well, which I don't know for sure.

I rode them. I have a thin foot and they rode pretty well. I still think a full tilt with the stiff tongue is a better bet.

i have nordica blowers i think 115 or 120 flew, i raced for 7 years and raced Hs in them this year and skied park in them, theyare suoper warm, comfy, and look sick. id reccomend those for a slightly less flex index race/freeski boot.

You don't mean these do you? Oh you do? Well, mmmmmmmm

Boots rip, never thought I would dig on the two buckles but these are unreal. Got a full season on them

you used your first post to claim hard on owning a pair of boots, you my friend are a tool.

ps: i kinda hope your like some pro skier who has yet to get an ornage name, so i can tell people i called some big name pro a fag!

These boots are not actually that narrow. the place where they loose a lot of volums is over the instep and the rest of the top of the foot. and as well around the ankle.

its the falcon shell, so you could just get the gun from last year for less. low instep more comfortable in the width.
