Im thinking about getting these skis. Im 90% percent sure i am getting them. One problem is i can't decide what size to get and where to mount them. I am 5' 5'' and 120 pounds. Im 14 years old and still growing. I want to use these skis next year so i cant decide between 166 and 174. I am an expert skier, i have been skiing all my life.

I will be using them for pow lines, cliffs, cornices, hitting bc jumps ect. I saw another thread and they were recommending -2. Would that be good for me?

Thanks for any help given

1. From what I have heard they are sick skis, talking to a guy from Ski Haus in Kalispell MT today about them and he said he loves them, we dont have them in my shop.. but i want to get some there.

2. Never state that you are an "expert skier" even if you are, it just leads to flaming and bad bad things.

[^^no hate on you bro^^]

That said, if you are an expert skier like you say, get the czars in the longer length you mentioned (174), size them up first to make sure they are skiable for you though, different ski companies measure their skis differently. You will have a lot more fun if you're skiing pow on a longer ski and you will become a better skier. If you can ski longer skis it helps with a lot of stuff.. maybe not balance but hey, long sticks are fun.

As for mounting, they aren't a park ski, and aren't supposed to have a good "swing weight", if you can spin, you can spin. So I would actually mount them at Salomon's recommended mounting point (they research this stuff, believe it or not). Recommended on those skis will suit you well unless you know exactly what you are doing when you decide where to mount them (it all depends on your type of skiing and skill level).

Props to you, on getting some sick skis and go shred the gnarr! +K to you friend.

They are rockered and you are gonna grow so go longer, 174cm.

For what it is worth, I have heard to mount forward +2, not back.

You should probably not claim what level skier you are no matter what, let your skiing talk for itself. In skihood's case, he stated what he would be using the skis for and it sounds gnarly, good enough for me. If you have to claim how good a skier you are just tell it straight up, however you want to say it, I was just saying it can definitely lead to flaming and hating.

well i thought that telling people what i would use them for would help them answer my questions a little better. I was just saying expert as in the 3 levels on the sheet they give you at the ski shop. NS is messed

Yeah man, sorry for the triple post. NS IS messed. Your opening post was totally legit, if i hadn't said something about not stating that you're an expert, someone else would have posted the same thing, or posted about how much of a claim it was... shit I'm just not going to post anything slightly controversial anymore..
