I currently own a pair of salomon 1080 flyers (the white kids ones) they are nice and soft and i like them lots. but i have gotten cold toes every day ive used them and i know its not the socks. are the spks warm boots? and also, can i have a comparason of the two boots flexes?

i will try them on, ive heard that a thousand times, i just want to know if i should consider them
 
warmness between boots doesnt really matter. its the liners in them that are warmer. im guessing that your feet fit too snugly into the boots or you do them up to tight. this would make your feet cold if your POSITIVE it isnt your socks or you dont have bad curculation. SPK's are decent if you are strictly in the park. ive heard they can hold up ok outside of the park but not unless your a very very strong skier. the spks will be a significantly bit looser fitting then the flyers. to sum it up, try on lots of boots. get a list of 3-4 boots youve heard good reviews on in the category of skiing you do and try them on. even go to the lengths of going to more then 1 bootfitter if you want to try another boot. get fitted.
 
you might try the dalbello krypton series.

they're hevier than the spks but everything else is really good as long as they fit you.

also, ive heard the rampages aren't as warm as the crosses or the pros.

theyre also coming out with a bunch of new boots next year so you maybe should wait and see if any of them are good, which im sure they will be. (you ban look at them in the new ski thread. they on about page 25-30 i think)
 
i did some searching and i found 1080 flyers have a 70 flex, and spks have 85, is that about right?

what about the new girls spk, anyone know the flex on it. if the normal spks are too wide i could possibly get girl boots if they fit.
 
I really liked my foils(the 06 ones) except they dont have a great hold on your heel, which has been improved for this season. I have never tried the SPK's, but they are a definate cnocidoration if my foils dont fit me at the beginning of the season.
 
spk's not as stiff as a kids boot? not true. they have a flex index of 85, same as the older 1080s.
