Salomon 1080s center mount?

I don't know, I eyeballed it and it looks like it's possible. I get the skis are from an era where rails were in their infancy and the tip and tail have completely different rise but I have a hard time thinking it couldn't be done. I took them to my local shop, and these are not a bunch of incompetent bafuns mind you, and they proceeded to move my binding up (ruining the downhill skiing somewhat) and charge me 40 dollars. I just don't understand that but that is besides the point. Can You center mount these skis?

They told me that it was too thin in the middle to mount

Like the screws would have been too close to edge? Pivots would probably work in that case as they have the narrowest mounting pattern

Nah like the sidewall wasn't wide enough
