I know you probably don't think a powerbook is ski equipment.. but it is, every skeir needs an apple laptop, and why not buy this great one i have! I've listed it on craigslist which has all the pictures and information.. I just figured I'd see if any cool skier wants to buy it from here. You can do art with it and stuff, and I'll give you some cool stuff if you buy it like some old jackets and what not.

Maybe I'll paint you a picture of yourself doing a cool ski trick.

Anyway, I'm looking for around 1550 for it, pretty much 7 months ago it cost 2800. Wonderful how much less I can get for it.

damn I wish I had one.....I'm getting really tired of hauling my powermac G5 with me everywhere I go
 
Yeah, works flawlessly.. The speaker was crackling a bit but i just took it to the apple store and had that replaced, and had them look to see if there were any problems. The battery was also replaced so it still lasts as good as new.. And I can leave all of my programs on it like CS2 and Macromedia studio 8. Remember, this is the only mac laptop that will run CS2 natively still. CS3 won't be out for a good 6 months at the earliest. I'm selling it with a low amount of RAM - 2x256 so you can upgrade easily, they sell gig sticks online for 70.
 
yeah computers degrade so quickly in price and performance. you can get a new macbook 2 ghz for $1500 right now.
 
that's weird, my friend just sold his 1.83 macbook for 1750. And mine has the 100 gig 7200 rpm harddrive which is the fastest.. that was an extra 200
 
cs2 isnt made to run on macbook pros because they have the intel processors, so it runs off of sort of a "fake mac" program built into macbook pros called Rosetta. That's why they are making all programs "universal" these days so they can run natively on the new intel macs. It just means photoshop goes a lot slower on the macbook pros than on the old macs, like my powerbook. haha and i'm not just saying that to get people to buy mine, it's the truth.

it's not sold, i'm going to hold onto it for at least the next week while i take it with me to LA, and then i'll try selling it there.
 
so, this laptop is still for sale, and i really need to sell it now.. true story.. my brother's house was broken into last week (i just moved down to LA for school again and had my stuff there). Anywya they stole my laptop case which thankgoodness didnt have my laptop in it, but it had my drawing pad and a bunch of other crap, so i needed to buy a new one etc.. so all the art jobs i was doing had to be put on hold.. also i ran out of money paying for school, haha. so please please if you need a laptop buy it from me, i promise you it's in perfect working order and i'm going to the apple store this week to replace the battery so it will be just like brand new.
 
Sorry to say, but the day the intel books came out it KILLED the resale value of the g4's.
