idk how some ppl can hate him. His job was to get ppl stoked and he did it well. Like you do realize his job wasn't to analyze the competitions right...
 
Maybe b3 and the gravity games will make a comeback.

I liked when the xgames wasn't big like the olympics. I can only tolerate so many people talking about the flying potato before I go nuts.
 
Yeah he did this very well and brought out a sick vibe to the x-games in general IMO. I think he also was a large part of propelling action sports in mainstream media forward by being a face and a name for it; a frontman of sorts. But hey, people come, people go. I hope he doesn't entirely fall of the map though.

The article says it's unannounced but, I wouldn't mind seeing Kevin Pearce who co-hosted last year taking the lead since he has overcome such a major injury. Just my thoughts hope no one hates cause I named of a snowboarder haha
 
As is so often the case on NS, the first post says it all. The dude was/is a tool in the utmost meaning of the word. I would be very happy to never see or hear him again. The X-Games are better off without him for sure!

I can't hate the guy, I can understand it but whatever. At the same time, xgames has gone downhill so far.

The x games is about the money coming in from gapers and fat little kids sitting on the sofa, not you or the athletes.

That's what it's turned into these days. They don't give a fuck if you watch it as long as plenty of people watch it and buy lots of shitty xgames merch.

Get lots of loot through advertising. The Xgames are huge now. There's a ton of money in it. Core anything went out there window years ago.

Will Tanner be competing? If not, he is the man you want with the microphone. So much stoke, things might get out of hand but at least he'd tell it like it is.

How much money is involved in it doesn't really matter at all to how much I can ride.

Major exposure doesn't necessarily make it better. So more people know about it, cool.

I found him kind of annoying, but whatever. I just got so tired of hearing every 10 minutes about when Shaun White was going to be making his runs.

because i'm pretty sure that's how a lot of people got into it and it's the same thing that made snowboarding so much more affordable which is what we need

Sal was the only good thing about the X Games in recent years. Hell, Sal was the BEST thing about the X Games ever, who am I kidding? How can anybody be happy that he's gone? I don't think I can even watch the X Games anymore now that he's gone.
 
I watched that dude lose his shit outside the Red Bull house at X a few years ago. Straight screamed at the bouncer for 10 full minutes before somebody let him in.

I've been a solid fan ever since.
