Sakanas in deep pow?

I just picked up a pair of Sakanas for this year. I ski in Whitefish, so we get a good amount of powder, and I spend most of my time in the trees. I picked up a pair of Blizzard Brahmas for when the slope is icy, or all chopped up as my wife likes to get out and night ski after work.

I have a pair of Magnum Opus that are 124 underfoot, will I need to keep these for big pow days or will the Sakana with the 150mm shovel be just fine on those days too?

I got the Sakana to be my touring ski as it does so well in deep snow. I skied it in every condition in Utah during the 700" season we just had. The fish tail really allows the tip to plane super well in deeper snow as it rises with the tail sinking. It really was a one ski wonder!

The only complaint I really ever had of the ski was it can get a bit knife-y (yes that's a very technical term as you can see) in very consolidated pow. Keep in mind too that if you're used to big twin tip skis with a lot of tail that this ski commands good technique and to keep forward on it, as you should skiing anything really, but there's a lot of tail riders out there.

Enjoy!

EDIT just to say the Magnum's are a hoot and you shouldn't sell them even if you ski the Sakana most of the time. The new Outline is fun but I will miss the Magnums.
