Saint Sauveur -> Avila

I've never been to either but I have a chance to go up multiple times this year. If being dropped off at Saint Sauveur how far/long is the walk to the Avila lift? From what I understand you can't use the Saint Sauveur if you just buy an Avila night pass.

Also, do any parts of Avila not require a park pass, or is are all the worth while features in the park-pass zone?

Thanks in advance.

Yeah, there are parts where you don't need a park pass, but you might as well get one. It's only $10-15 I think. And if you are at Sauveur, may as well go up the Sauveur lift and ski down to Avila- always more fun than walking.

In my opinion Sauveur sucks. Never good conditions and very small hill. It is wide, but the runs are short. I would only buy an Avila lift ticket and stay in the park.

This. They dont check tickets that much in st-sauveur in general, just take lift once in st-sauveur to transfer at avila. And if they check the ticket close up and notice it's a avila only ticket..... man its for one damn lift, he can prbly hunderstand.

So is it safe to assume Avila has equally shitty conditions? Some of the videos I've seen seem to have some pretty dug in landings, is this typical on a weeknight or mostly a weekend thing?

I can't say for sure because I have not been to Avila this season yet, but they do take care of the park. You would be better off finding an Avila local.

Get the park pass. It will be useful. The condition in the weekdays are mad ill, the park looks really great and the park rangers laps pretty often to clean up. They're doing a good job this year. Week nights are pretty average but still looking good. I havent ride during weekends yet but I'm pretty sure that there are tons of kids running everywhere and the park usually gets icy pretty fast but still, park rangers do a decent job this year so far, except they set the cannon rail as a down rail (FAIL.)
