Just curious how many of you out there sail, and what you have. Be sure to share some pics.

I have a Tartan 33 and race on a Lazer 28. Hopefully will have pictures soon...

I raced in a venturing ship during HS. We had a fleet of 5 Thistles, a pair of Cat 22's, and a Prindle 17.

We are actually small, the boat rating is in between race and cruising classes, but ends up in cruising. The boat is irc rule breaker, so we do pretty well.

I love sailing. So much fun in a storm. Most fun I've had was my cousins lazer out on lake ontario. My gparents have a cottage on litttle sodus bay. We've taken the lazer out in some crazy swells. So much fun leaning in a little boat flying over some huge waves.

i have a shitty old mutineer, but i go to a camp where i sail mostly C and E scows, those boats haul

so much fun

470 and tanzer 22. but we also have a 47 foot metal hull ocean going ketch that needs to have the interior finished that my dad built and a 35 foot chinese junk that's more of a show item then actually useful

I race 420's nationally, also race international canoes, sail a class cats, vectors, race on a mumm 30, a custom 50. sail offshore a lot and do alot of long distance races, like marblehead to halifax or newport bermuda.

catalina 25 prepped for racing.

would like to buy a hobie 16 with trapeze for messing around when a suitable one shows up.

I'm planning on getting super into sailing this summer. So far I've only sailed a small dinghy, but I joined my university's sailing club (2nd biggest one in the nation behind the navy, which doesn't really count) so I plan on sailing lazers and maybe get into a 420 this year. Already been out once this year can't wait for it to be nice out all the time.

i sail a laser 4.7 in the Uk national sqaud.
im just wondering what the sailing scene is like in the US. i mean in the uk we have the squad system from the Rya which is great at getting amazing coaching and facility for us squadies.

my parents are moving to annapolis so they want to get into sailing- have had powerboats forever- but sailing is just so much better-i have sailed hobie-cats and they are soo much fun

I race 420s and do foredeck on a J24. We need a sailing cult. And now its blowing 20-25 and its 75 degrees and i'm going to practice :)

we used to have a little optie named lady bug because it was painted red and black like a lady bug. we also had a j22 and a thistle that my dad raced. I miss sailing :(

First 37.5 is a pretty sick boat for a Bend-in-two company. Or as my racing buddy calls them Bena-slow. I would still take a 37.5. Plus certainly horray for Kirby 25. We have one at my work to mess around on.

MC, C boat, hobie 16, laser and 2 butterflys.

My yacht club lets us use their 420s, fj, and jy that i also compete in.

My most comptetive boats are the MC and laser, I won mc junior nationals and took 7th at the laser open in wisconsin.

I also won butterfly nationals but that boat is so boring

ya sailing is dope

i dont race but i have a cs 15 i take out from time to time

and i have my bronze 5

sailing camp FTW

I used to race 420's in HS and for the local club in the summer. fleet, match, team all of it. My pops has a catalina 22 we race for the wednsday nighters down at the club and i go out any chance i get on anything else. i really prefer dingy racing to keelboat racing though. We need to revive the sailing cult or just start a new one!

this thread makes me happy....

i was a junior sailing instructor(optis, blue jays, 420s, lasers)... ive been racing lasers for a few years.....i practically grew up living on a 42ft catalina....AHHH I LOVE SAILING
