i propose that each of you send me a suit. i will try my hardest to destroy it. and test the limits of it. i will try each suit for one month. i will write a report on your suit, unbiased etc. i feel like companies and the magazines give you biased exposure based on who spends the most on an add. i will not. i feel like newschoolers is most of your customer base, and anyone who buys either suit thinks its the dopest shit conceived so obviously you have to take any of these with a grain of salt. one person has to put these suits to the test. i think it is me.

i have really sharp crampons, often ski into trees, and crash on rails. i like to hike, ride the lifts, and be outside in the freezing cold. i like to be outside in ultra blower, and super wet snow. sometimes i wear a backpack all day, sometimes i dont. i like to wear my ski clothes around town, and on the hill. sometimes i have a harness over my ski pants, sometimes i camp over night in the snow. sometimes i am hiking for 8 hours and ski down.

i will write a report and make a video based on all aspects of the clothes.

anyone scared? NS NEEDS THIS.

what does ns think, good idea, bad idea?

and when freeskier ETC does a buyers guide do you think that anyone is acutally using those suits?

i think they dont, they just write some generic shit about them and get free stuff.

same.
I think it would be sick know which is truly the most durable - cause they ALL look sick, but whose will last the longest is the real question.

ps if any other companies want in hit me up. though i know really nobody else patrolls ns like you all.

Do i think this is just a scheme for you to get 4 free suits?

Yes

But i also think its an amazing idea and that it would be sick to hear how it works out so i to vote. Yes

But I was thinking if you do a suit a month the seasons will change and the month you try saga could be 20 degrees the whole time and the month you try First Drop could be 45. So i propose that you try one a week for four months so you like switch every week.

Next time you try to right a normal proposal, try using capital letters and punctuation...

Also, this would be stupid for companies like saga who receive the orders anyways, this is just one possible deterrent.

This could be interesting. Legit to know that Saga is actually doing this. Shows good customer support, they want to know the goods and bads so they can help make a better product.

Saga is getting better and better as far as customers service and understanding of their client base every. Props to you guys.

Consider a suit bought next season for me.

Will you need some help ? I can help you and test saga and first drop. I live in QC so weather is tough, its icy, trees are killers, and parks rapes. I'm in to help you !

wow, great idea! i wish i could have come up with that idea so i could have gotten some free suits but good luck! will def be keeping an eye out for your writeups.

Honestly, I have had a bad image if saga in my head untill this year. It seems like they've really got their shit together this year as far as some of the best customer service i've seen with them posting in threads commonly and helping everyone get their gear. hats off to you guys!

This is a good idea,
and smuggs is one of the best members to do it. He will actually test it out in harsh field conditions.

Just when I thought Saga couldn't be a nicer bunch of guys!

Smuggs you should send an email to the other companies stating that Saga is in. That would make the process go faster instead of waiting for the companies to stumble upon this thread

He should make a legit documentry ski video on this. Sick edits mashed together with each suit and a progression on damage etc. i would buy

i was thinking today on the lifts just what you guys are saying,

example making edits and stuff, obviously i am not going to be able to put together any kind of park shoot. i have long since retired from that. but there are people around who could. i think i know a filmer/editor who can help out a bit. maybe i rough the suits up a bit, then in return have a few other people test them out, i would organize kind of a diary for the suits or something along those lines. then i get them back and rough them up one more time with the same tests.

asking to send a stranger an outfit is kind of far fetched. but i think this is a decent idea and the independent skiing community needs something like this. i was even thinking that now there are all of these ski companies too doing their thing, and nobody really knows anything about the gear aside from what you hear from someone who has tried one of the products.

a website would have to be set up maybe etc.

and dont jump the gun on anyone yet i havent even emailed these companies, and the post on ns.com is a few hours old. maybe if people cant give stuff away, we can get some corporate sponsors and i just would have to hide pepsi cans and doritoes in some of the shots. but that might defeat the purpose of this.

crazy saga is in? i guess we have to get a little more serious about things.

whhhat trew and saga, there is a beer bottle a few feet away from me, im thinking of smashing it over my head, i worked my BALLS off ALLLLL dam summer, got in trouble with my parents, lost some money and then worked extremely hard to buy a used saga suit, i wanted to get a new one really badly but shit, i lost a little money. why couldnt i think of this. :(

BTW: little thought : how about asking more expensive companies to defend their gear via this test !? such as big brands like salomon, armada or what eva . this could be very interesting... what do you guys think `?
