Sacramento Kings most likely moving to Seattle..

Looking like the Maloofs are about to finalize a $500 million deal to sell the team to a Seattle group.

I wish nothing but great financial hardship and misery upon the worst owners in the history of professional sports. Joe and Gavin Maloof, I'll see you fuckers in hell.

Well, good to hear we are taking the high road and getting our team back by fucking over another city.
 
The Maloof family has been talking about selling the kings or filing for bankruptcy since long before Hansen came into Seattle with his proposal.
 
Damn, only pro sports team in the central valley is leaving... bummer. Seattle will treat them better though.
 
So bummed about this. I grew up watching them...it seems like they're a young team with alot of potential but of course once they actually become good they'll be gone. Couldn't agree more about the maloofs OP. I feel yaaa.
 
I'm glad about bringing back the sonics, but what about the NHL Team we were supposed to have? I'm gonna honest, probably won't go watch a lotta Sonics games. But if we had a hockey team, I would buy season tickets for sure.
 
Damn I probably would have travelled down to Seattle to watch a game or two if they became the Sonics again.
 
if it happened to one team, it can happen to any team. anybody who really knows what happened to the sonics shouldn't be surprised with whats happening to the kings.
 
Lol a for it to be approved there would have to a full design and blueprint for everything. Million dollar projects dont get the go-ahead and then start the planning process.
 
pretty much. I would be stoked to see the sonics back. I was pissed when they left because there was always a little friendly rivalry with them.

Major bummer for Kings fans. They had a great thing a decade ago. Ive never rooted for a team that a dont associate with as much as i rooted for those Kings teams. They were so close

Seattle is a phenomal basketball city. So much talent comes from there. They need a team back
 
Seattle deserves a team back, im gona feel weird rooting for a team that isnt the historic sonics. but hell we love our sports up here and they will do just fine.

i dont think that stadium will be built where the owner wants it, he owns land down near the hawks and mariners stadium and the port is geting pissed cuz he causes a ton of traffic that interferes with port business. but a new stadium is coming.

now if only the mariners would get good again we would be one of the top sports cities in the nation.
 
i read somewhere they'll play 2 seasons at the old arena and then move to the SoDo arena. that first game back is gonna fuckin crazy though

actually though, with the MLS, the northwest dominates in terms of fans. It's nice that at least a part of the country is able to support their franchises in that sport. The rest of the country is pretty pathetic at that.
 
....and the NFL. pretty sure the CLink is the craziest stadium during football games. UW measures "earthquakes" originating from it because it gets so hyphy
 
Were talking about the location- it had to get approval from the transportation department.
 
would they still be the sonics? Or would they choose some new gay name.

What i hate is that even if the sonics come back they will suck. Seattle should be living large right now with the KD hype train
 
Just read the new stadium could also be home to a nhl team. I make the drive from pdx once a summer for a Ms game but i would be there all the time if they had an NHL team
 
I hope Kevin Johnson fucks up the Maloofs game and the BOG of the NBA says fuck you to this sale... and Sacramento gets an investment group together to save the team.

Fuck the maloofs, what cuntbags...
 
Relocation committee (consists of 12 owners) just unanimously recommended against relocation of the Sacramento Kings. This means that there's about a 99% chance that Sacramento is sticking around, and Seattle's going to have to get their team back in a more legitimate fashion.
