They spent all their RnD money on that shade of blue...

Don't buy them they just blow up way to fragile. While repairing the cuff alignment (with some more parts they sent me) i now see cracking on the plastic

Idk, he was at Deer valley (canyon closed had free day) and was kitted top to bottom in Salomon, pair of QSTs.

I didn't ask his name, Just asked if he worked for Salomon and he said he was an athlete for them

This has been my experience with Salomon products in general.

Sick ski designs, that blow up in weeks or even days. Bindings that are cool at first, but then pre-release like crazy, then break.

Real shame because I really want to like some of their designs

I had some SPKs from 2014-2018 and Xmax 100 2018-2022. Beat the shit out of both pairs but did not budge. Sad to hear this, I always liked salomons gear

That’s weird, my SPro 100s are great, and breaking in super nicely too. No issues. Funny that the cheaper version is preforming better than it’s superior

My XMaxs lasted like 10 years of mega abuse. I've heard Salomon been blowing up recently so was skeptical of buying these boots but let my old Xmax mentality carry me through.

I think its just the plastic on these boots, its way to weak.

Had some s max 130 carbons a couple years ago. Cracked both shells my first season got a warranty pair for the next season and cracked another shell in a month or so of skiing. Nice boots but I’ve never cracked any other shell so it kinda makes them less appealing.

Almost got the 120s but was like, "nah rather stick to the soul shell so I can have spare parts + acquire the wrap liners on the TW pros." The s/pro alpha 120s felt good but didn't want to drop the dough. Also ended up catching the K2 "sale" so that worked out, bummed to hear those Salomons are a bust

I have the S/Pro Alpha 120 EL and my experience has been very different. Seem well made, and haven’t had anything go wrong with them.

STH16s have been great to me

if its the same plastic, then id hit you with a "knock on wood".... if its stronger then okay it might work

also I can see bindings being the best product they sell, blowing someones knee is a lawsuit, boots clapping is just a warranty.

the s/pros are way too light and thin in the shell + the boot board is made of foam

i really don't get why alpine ski boots need to be so light. 90% of customers buying ski boots don't even care about the weight
