RV Camping in QC/VT

Hey ppls I have a question that I'm thinking someone here can answer;

I am taking my winterized pop up camper across Quebec and Vermont this winter to ski their most popular slopes. I need some insight as to how lax they are in terms of overnight parking with a camper, or if some places have 120v hookup etc. Any information is appreciated, I checked online and really couldn't find much. thanks!

some of places I plan to ski are: Mont Tremblant, Mont st Anne, Mont Orford, Killington, Okemo, Magic Mountain, Jay Peak, Seven Springs

Pretty much an industry standard for them to fuck with you. Someone is paid to wake up people car camping and boot them. Its hard to even roll up at 730 and sleep for an hour till lifts are open without a knock on the window.

Check out TGR forums lots of stuff on there about this. Walmarts are obvious suggestions.

pretty sure you're fine at magic so long as you park in the back lot. no hook ups though

Most mountains will not allow over night parking do to snow removal. They don;t want the liability of a plow driver not seeing your car covered in snow and hitting you. I know that most nights that's not an issue but they are all to worried about the layers. I have never been to a mountain that has hook ups. If there is a walmart near by they allow over night parking. Best bet is find a spot a few miles down the road and have a good night. Side note, Bars are a good stop as well. If you grab a night cap then crash in their lot they are more than likely just happy your not driving home. Again look at local ordinances, lot of small resort town do not allow overnight parking in city lots due to snow removal as well.

Thanks for all the info guys! much appreciated

I got word of a good Wal Mart to park at close to Killington, and Magic said I could park in their lot as long as I park in a specific area. Me and the crew are going to Tremblant on Dec 10th and we plan to camp out for 2-3 nights.

If anyone has the info on whats good in that area plz share!

I've been there before without the camper and it seemed pretty strict around the village. I tried googling it but everythings in french so I'm lost. thanks again !

can always check freecampsites.net

walmart parking lots

but for electric you prob gonna have to pay

Thanks for that website, that ones new to me.

In terms of hookup/power; I have a massive Deep Cycle battery wired into my PopUpCamper. The Car's alternator chargers the battery, and if needed I have a Honda 2000 Generator to serve as backup, or to charge our phones/camera/laptop.

Just finished waxing the shred sticks for the first trip!

Have a safe and fun trip and keep us posted I have a similar trip planned for mid winter. For Killington and I don't have any insiders information or previous experience but I would guess that Bear mountain parking lot would be your best bet. Keep us posted on your trip

We cancelled our tickets to Tremblant and are now going to Killington VT instead.

I'm trying to find an RV campsite, or any campsite within an hours distance that we can post up at. I don't mind paying if they have hookup for my camper. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know, once again google was no help.

see if you can park it over at the skye ship gondola lot

Were heading out to VT tomorrow morning!

We found an RV Campsite within 30-40 minutes of Killington that has winter spots with hookup, washrooms, etc. Most of the trip will be filmed, will post back here.

IDK about free shit but I know there is some camp sites by tremblant. You'd have to look more into it to answer the rest of your questions tho
