Mr. Bishop and I had a quick discussion about how LG should be moderated and whatnot. We'd love to hear your ideas.

In my opinion, I say moderate it like any other forum but we want input.

Please post them up here.

yeah I agree with Immas, moderate it with the same rules as the other forums. I dont want this to become a "Yassss now we can drool over hawt skier boyz and ask em to dump it out" place haha. No sexism, no racism, no homophobia. One love etc

It's made available only to pinknames, and boys with pinknames will be found and taken care of as we go. hopefully this is only an issue initially though and then they forget/stop caring

Guys I know can see this sooo I don't see that happening. I mean if you're selling stuff or looking for ski advice then no problem but otherwise I wouldn't trust posting anything outside of pre-established cults.

i feel like guys may come in here with pinknames, but what are they going to do? troll? they'll just be banned hopefully. I'd recommend treating this like any other place on the internet and don't share any information that you don't care to be leaked out anywhere else.
 
Do you think the voting should be restricted to just us or have it as it is now with the guys being able to vote as well?

why would bluenames be allowed to vote if they cant post? I was wondering why so much of the stuff on here was already being downvoted, it didnt cross my mind that it could have been bluenames doing it.

IMO No post, no vote. One of the reasons it's public is so lady lurkers w/o accounts can see it too, but allowing the boys to upvote/downvote posts just gives fucksticks a way to mess with the forum. A lot of posts that shouldnt be downvoted have been done so far.

i agree. even though i'd like to think that most of the bluenames on NS are nice people, fact is there are some that aren't, and if you give them some way of messing this up they will probaby do it..:/

so no, don't let the bluenames vote.
 
Moderated like any other forum. I honestly don't see much happening that needs moderated other than aliases, because it seems that we're all so excited about this and totally willing to behave. But I can see aliases being an issue. I mentioned last night that I had never seen so many goddamn pink names and my boyfriend was like 'THATS CAUSE THEYRE ALL ALIASES DUH'... Yeah.

I am interested in helping to keep this place clean, if help is needed.
 
ive left social media and the ski scene for a while because i dont like the community that exists around it. but im stoked that erica and erika have pushed so hard to make something like this. most of the really negative interactions i have had in the skiing cyber world and in the real-life skiing world have been with other women, so i hope that this can be a place to promote the stoke and kindness and love we all have for skiing.

and thank you doug, and everyone who has pushed so hard to make this a better place. im going to go back to being "off-the-grid" for a bit, but im stoked to see this moving in a good direction. it has potential as long as we all work to achieve the same goal - a happy, healthy, welcoming, and positive community.

I'll be interested to see how Lady Gabber develops and what it will become. Why does Newschoolers need a girls-only space? Perhaps we'll be able to answer that question a bit better in a few weeks / montsh time. I'd be pretty annoyed if (as a girl), a boys-only forum was introduced. What do the boys think? Either way, its an interesting and appreciated step to take NS, thanks.
